Music To Read A Book Along To

Over at Largehearted Boy, Pasha created a playlist for The Withdrawal Method. It’s basically all New Jack Swing, much to no one’s surprise. God, Tony! Toni! TonĂ©! was so good. I seriously thought they were going to change everything.

Free Darko: The Shot (?)

Pasha has a thing in Free Darko about basketball. I don’t quite understand what the piece is about, but I honestly think that if you know a lot about basketball you will probably like what he wrote.

Moving On Up to Berton House

Pasha was one of four writers selected for the 2009-2010 Berton House writers-in-residence program. Yay! He will travel to the Yukon and spend 3 months living in the childhood home of Canadian author Pierre Berton.

As of press time, it was unknown which months he would be spending there, or what he hoped to accomplish there.

A Film For Would-Be Immigrants

Pasha has a new piece in Walrus: an annotated film script about Canadian immigrants. Or would it be emigres? I always forget which is which, although I guess “immigrants” is the catch-all. Anyways click through and enjoy. This is a hot-button topic.

What We Eat in Maisonneuve

Pasha has an article in the print version of Maisonneuve magazine. It’s called “What We Eat” and it’s about a video of a pelican eating a pigeon, which is THE GROSSEST VIDEO EVER and the idea that Pasha probably had to watch this multiple times in order to write an article about it completely grosses me out.

Seriously if there is anything more germ-infested than one bird eating another bird I do not even want to know about it .

Click through for some more info and the actual video, which I wish to God I had not watched it.
